The Mac permissions Sayonic needs
Sayonic needs the microphone to hear you, Accessibility to click and type, Screen Recording to see the front window, and Automation to work with apps. Calendar and file access are optional.
What each permission is for
Each permission covers one thing Sayonic does for you.

| Screen Recording | To see the front window when a brain asks. |
| Automation | To work with apps such as Chrome, Safari and Notes. |
| Calendar (optional) | To add events. Adding only. |
| Files and Folders, Full Disk Access (optional) | To find and open files you ask for. |
Turn a permission off
You can turn any of these off in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Questions
- Why does it need so many permissions?
- It needs the microphone to hear you, Accessibility to click and type, Screen Recording to see the front window, and Automation to work with apps like Chrome, Safari and Notes. Calendar, Files and Folders, and Full Disk Access are only for the features that use them.
- Is my audio saved?
- No. Audio isn't saved. See the privacy page for what the app does with your data.
